SecureWave, a worldwide leader in endpoint security, today announced that BlockMaster, a developer of information security solutions for the corporate world, has joined the SecureWave Hardware Vendor Partnership Program, the first certification program for portable storage media that provides hardware manufacturers with the endorsement of the market leader in endpoint security. The partnership certifies the BlockMaster SafeStick® is fully-compatible with SecureWave's Sanctuary® Device Control software.
"BlockMaster is fully aware of the security concerns represented by the proliferation of portable storage media across enterprises in all industries,' said Anders Pettersson, CEO of BlockMaster. "SecureWave's policy-based approach to resolving these issues makes this a logical partnership for BlockMaster. The combination of SecureWave Sanctuary and BlockMaster SafeStick safeguards enterprise security policies, enabling organizations - for the first time - to enforce policy for USB flash drives while maintaining flexibility and productivity."
The SecureWave Hardware Vendor Partnership Program provides a way for BlockMaster to market the enterprise benefits of its solutions while ensuring its commitment to device safety. The devices of all partners in the program are subject to extensive and stringent testing for compatibility and interoperability with Sanctuary Device Control. Once certified, hardware vendors can sell Sanctuary Device Control with their solutions, the combination of which results in a secure, scalable and manageable solution that ensures the utmost integrity and security of devices used throughout the enterprise.
"SecureWave is pleased to welcome innovative vendors like BlockMaster into the Hardware Vendor Partnership Program," said Bertrand Manhe, director of strategic alliances at SecureWave. "Together, BlockMaster SafeStick and SecureWave Sanctuary provide our joint customers a granular, comprehensive solution for managing devices, enforcing corporate policy and protecting proprietary company information."
