Durham, N.C. and Millis, Jul. 17, 2006

SecureWave, a worldwide leader in endpoint security, today announced that Kanguru Solutions, a leading manufacturer of encrypted USB flash drive products, has joined SecureWave's Hardware Vendor Partnership Program as a SecureWave Technology Partner following the certification of the KanguruMicro Drive AES and the Kanguru Bio Drive.

SecureWave's Hardware Vendor Partnership Program is the industry's first certification program for portable storage media and provides hardware manufacturers with the endorsement of the market leader in endpoint security and certifies that partner solutions are fully-compatible with SecureWave's Sanctuary® Device Control software. As part of the partnership, Kanguru Solutions will resell Sanctuary alongside its own product line.

"The combination of Kanguru's encrypted USB flash drive products and Sanctuary Device Control provides companies with a one-two punch for preventing information leakage and controlling other device-related risks," said Nate Cote, vice president of sales at Kanguru Solutions. "Kanguru's flash drives enable the secure storage and transfer of sensitive corporate information while complying with government regulations, including FIPS 140-2. By offering SecureWave's Sanctuary product suite to our customers, we now have a complete, unified solution for helping organizations solve their policy requirements regarding the use of portable storage devices in the enterprise."

The SecureWave Hardware Vendor Partnership Program provides a way for Kanguru Solutions to demonstrate the enterprise benefits of its solutions while ensuring the company's commitment to device safety by partnering with SecureWave. The devices of all partners in the program are subject to extensive and stringent testing for compatibility and interoperability with Sanctuary Device Control. Once certified, SecureWave and its partners are able to offer enterprises and government organizations a secure, scalable and manageable solution using Sanctuary Device Control to ensure the utmost integrity and security regarding the use of devices throughout the organization.

"With the slew of recent headlines about stolen lap tops and misplaced thumb drives, mobile device security is as important as ever for organizations across all industries," said Bertrand Manhe, director of strategic alliances at SecureWave. "Controlling what devices can be used on corporate endpoints is just one part of an effective solution. Encrypting approved devices enables enterprises to add an extra layer of protection. Kanguru's solutions represent the latest in encryption technology, and SecureWave is pleased to welcome Kanguru into the Hardware Vendor Partnership Program. Companies using both SecureWave's Sanctuary and Kanguru's encrypted flash drives will have the robust solution they need to control the risks posed by handheld devices without completely inhibiting their use."
